Waimanalo Honey
Friday, July 31st, 2009
This honey is gathered by colonies maintained at the University of Hawaii Agriculture Experiment Station in Waimanalo. It consists of nectars gathered from seasonal flowers found within an up to two-mile radius of the colonies’ location. Only organic methods of colony management and maintenance are employed.
All of the honey is extracted and bottled in the “honey house” located in Waiahole Valley, which is inspected and approved by the Hawaii State Department of Health.
This honey is unheated and unfiltered - oh so ono! Not too thick, so it integrates well into anything you want to sweeten.
