Welcome to Waimanalo Market, A Community Cooperative! We are excited about bringing fresh, healthy, locally grown produce to our community. Our Co-op is made up of primarily Waimanalo residents, but anyone can join and anyone can purchase from our market.

We are a group of Waimanalo residents that want to support buying local, living healthy and giving back to our community. We strive to be environmentally sustainable while supporting our local agriculture community.

Food sustainability for an island is not just a dream; it is a necessity. Did you know that over 70% of the food we eat in Hawaii is imported? There is less than 10 days supply of food available should shipping be interrupted.

We will give back to the community by allocating all profits from the co-op to support the many grass-roots programs that take care of our youth and our kupuna. By doing so, we are gaining control of our community assets.

We have a vision of a community supporting itself based on the ancient Hawaiian concept of an ahupua’a. Farmers supply and we buy, thus keeping our money within our community. To promote self-sufficiency within Waimanalo, we will offer an outlet for other small businesses to sell their products. This is a grass-roots effort to help build local wealth, create jobs and revitalize our local economy. Ultimately, we will serve as a community resource providing grants and micro-loans, education and economic opportunities. Waimanalo Market will be the local living economy that supports a quality of living that comes from respecting our health, each other and the ‘aina that nurtures us.

Customers can log on-to this website and order products that they wish to purchase. On ‘market day’ your basket of goodies will be ready and waiting for pick-up. Customers will pay for their items at time of pick-up.
